Plot / Synopsis: The story is about an average city-dweller, called Gustavus, with whom average things happen. He tries to get a girlfr iend, becomes jealous, hunts for flies, tries to do some shopping, raises a cat, etc. The thing that made him so lovable on the TV screens of many countries is that he is just like any of us, an average little man with everyday problems... Review: This is one of my favorite cartoons from my childhood, but today it has even more meaning and hidden nuances that I haven't perceived earlier. It was made in the historical Pannónia Film Studios by József Nepp, Attila Dargay and Marcell Jankovics. This 5 minute cartoon is just one episode in the Gusztáv serial which counts 120 episodes total. It has no bright and rich colors typical for the other animations, but it's simplicity shines through with poise. Every episode is superbly written and the music is top class! The story usually deals with the life of the common, working class man and his every day problems. And you can sense from time to time some criticism pointed at the communist establishment present at the time in Hungary. What is so hilarious in every episode is that you could be in the same situation any day and how Gusztáv solves it in his unique way. If you can find it, it will be worth every penny! Highly recommended!

Gusztáv, because of the increasing number of car accidents, buys a horse. They get on well together until the horse falls in love.

Bálint Sáfár, the charming businessman has several affairs, and when his wife Zsófi - with whom he has two children - finds out about his infidelity, she breaks up with him. Bálint decides to move to one of his houses on sale. On the same day Bálint's subcontractor Joci, who renovates his houses, breaks up with his girlfriend Szonja and decides to stay at this same house. Joci has some serious issues in his private life. His girlfriend Szonja couldn't get pregnant for years, and after her hormone therapy, he just can't live with her anymore. Dávid Jakab, successful businessman realises that his wife, Tamara hates him and wants to get a divorce on their 16th anniversary. Dávid asks Bálint if he could stay at his house while he tries to save his marriage. The series follows these freshly-divorced guys' lives as they try to solve their relationship problems.

King Henry disapproves of the love between his daughter Doubravka and Thomas, the gardener and son of a friend who died for him in battle. He is convinced that Thomas cannot take over the kingdom because he is not of noble birth and, moreover, is too kind-hearted. And a ruler must be tough. The noble Prince Arthur of Nebesníže, who can also talk to echoes, would be a more suitable groom. Tomáš and the princess defend their love and each in their own way defy the king's will. Tomáš fights the prince of Nebesníže with echoes, and Doubravka runs away from the castle.
